PITcases.org
New America launched the Public Interest Technology University Network (PIT-UN) in 2019 in an effort to foster collaboration between and community among universities and colleges committed to building the field of public interest technology and growing a new generation of civic-minded technologists. Since its launch, the program has been highly successful in developing this collaborative PIT community, and our larger network now has more than 40 institutions. As our network and reach grew, we increasingly saw the need for a centralized hub of PIT resources, both for our immediate PIT-UN and New America community and for parties interested in learning more.
As a result, we created PITcases.org. PITcases is a university platform that helps students and faculty find the best ways to make a positive difference in their communities. It provides detailed information about projects that have come out of PIT classes and other initiatives, as well as reading lists for those interested in teaching such courses. It also contains fellowship and job search resources, plus a member directory and further information on PIT-UN membership opportunities.
To learn more, we direct you to our About Us page, which has more background on our program. You are also invited to subscribe to our monthly newsletter to stay up to date on key PIT-UN news items, and make sure to check out PIT News as well. We warmly welcome you and your interest in the PIT-UN community!
