Please join us on Friday, April 5th to celebrate the launch of the report “The ‘Consensual Straitjacket’: Four Decades of Women in Nuclear Security.

Nearly two dozen women with decades of experience in nuclear, arms control, and non-proliferation policy told us that opening the doors to diversity makes better, more innovative policy. With specific policy outcomes and painful personal histories, they have much to teach us about building the security workforce and innovative thinking that the future demands. Again and again, they told us that building networks of peers, mentors and sponsors, through formal and informal interactions, was key to attracting and sustaining diverse talent and new thinking.

Join us to put that insight into action with leaders of today and tomorrow. From 5:00 - 6:30, Rose Gottemoeller, Michèle Flournoy and Bonnie Jenkins will open a discussion of personal experience and prospects for innovation and change in the nuclear security field. A networking reception will follow from 6:30 - 7:30, with some of the women featured in the report.
