On the Cliff: A Bernard L. Schwartz Symposium
Hosted by Economists for Peace & Security
Event
Please note that this event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.
After the election, the nation will face the daunting challenge of how to avoid going over the “fiscal cliff” of automatic budget cuts and revenue increases that are scheduled to take effect next year. With the economy still struggling to recover from the Great Recession, the decisions taken to avoid the fiscal cliff could determine the shape of our economy and society for years to come.
Economists for Peace & Security, in cooperation with the New America Foundation’s Economic Growth Program, will bring together leading economic and political thinkers one week after the election to discuss the best path forward for the economy, our social contract, and our national security.
Please join us for this important symposium.
