Joshua Geltzer and his colleagues at the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at the Georgetown University Law Center filed a lawsuit as counsel to and on behalf of the City of Charlottesville, homeowners’ associations, and local businesses that invokes provisions of Virginia law crafted to prevent precisely the type of unaccountable paramilitary activity that these groups inflicted on Charlottesville on August 12 and threaten to inflict again.

Geltzer wrote about the lawsuit for Just Security, where a link to the filing can also be found.
