Alexander Satola

Intern, Digital Impact and Governance Initiative

Alexander Satola is an Intern for the Digital Impact and Governance Initiative (DIGI). He serves as a research assistant, writer and copy editor for various DIGI projects and publications.

Satola brings previous experiences in technology policy and regulation to the DIGI team, having worked in roles associated with data protection compliance on the IP/IT desk at CMS Francis Lefebvre, privacy and user-centric design at the UK-based company, digi.me, and technology journalism at The Michigan Daily.

Satola is a native of Washington, D.C., and expects to graduate from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and a B.A. in French and Francophone Studies in December 2021. When he is not advocating for civic tech initiatives, Satola enjoys hiking, reading and drawing with pen and pencil.
