Emily Yang

Emily Yang was a fellow and project coordinator in New America's Health Policy program. At New America, she served as a coordinator for the 53% Conference, which covers technological advancements applicable to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) federal food assistance programs. Benefits of such technology include streamlining data collection, modernizing nutritional outreach, and improving health outcomes. She worked closely with Rear Admiral Susan Blumenthal M.D., a senior fellow in Health Policy at New America and the former Assistant Surgeon General. A graduate of Duke University, she is currently earning a Master of Science in public health from Johns Hopkins.
