Mir Abdullah Miri is a former Afghanistan Observatory Scholar at New America. He has worked as a research consultant and qualitative researcher with various organizations including United Nations Populations Fund-Afghanistan and Afghan Children Read Project funded by USAID and Creative Associates International, Inc in Afghanistan. Miri’s interests include teacher education, immigration, and issues related to access and equity.
Miri is a qualitative researcher and a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) educator. He holds a master’s degree in TESOL from Indiana University of Pennsylvania through a Fulbright Scholarship.
His current research project with the Afghanistan Observatory at New America is a multi-case study, focusing on the experiences of Afghan immigrants in different countries.
