Robert Baker was a fellow in the Future of Property Rights Initiative at New America, researching emerging business applications for blockchain, the underlying technology of cryptocurrency. Most recently, he was lead technologist and Obama administration appointee in USAID’s Global Development Lab. Baker was a 2013-14 Presidential Innovation Fellow and COO of Ushahidi, a Kenyan technology startup.
