Politico featured the launch of New America's Public Interest Technology program in the Morning Tech newsletter and in Politico Pro.

The outpost launching today, called New America's "public interest technology team," plans to parlay its recruits' expertise inside government to work with civil society groups across the U.S. to up their technical capabilities. Its members will tackle projects like connecting Medicaid beneficiaries with health clinics, steering those with mental illness away from jail, or mapping the country's opioid epidemic. Among those the effort is pulling from the ranks of the Obama administration are former Domestic Policy Council Director Cecilia Muñoz, U.S. Digital Service co-founder Vivian Graubard, and one-time White House policy adviser Dipayan Ghosh, with a slew of others rounding out a first class of 15 fellows.
